The short version

Story

The path

I learned the hard way that comfort is a slow kind of damage. At eighteen I stopped what was hurting me. Found training. Found mentors. Found a different way to be in a body.

Japan rewired me. The restraint, the precision, the patience for things that take years. I came back with a different operating system.

Today I work in Customer Growth at Google. The same systems thinking goes into Yūgen Coaching — where I work with people who are winning at work while their health quietly slides.

Principle

Einfachheit schlägt Ambition.

— simplicity beats ambition

Principles

What I believe

  • Depth over speed

I would rather understand one thing deeply than skim ten things. This applies to training, relationships, work, and building a business. Shortcuts create debt.

  • Systems over willpower

Motivation fades. Systems work on your worst days. I design environments, habits, and structures that make the right thing the easy thing.

  • Raw over polished

I do not believe in curating a perfect image. The struggle is the story. The gap between intention and action is where growth lives. I would rather be honest than impressive.

  • Health is the platform

Sleep, training, nutrition — these are infrastructure, not options. Everything I build sits on top of a body that works. This is non-negotiable.

Coaching

The work itself

I coach a small number of people 1:1 through Yūgen. If the back-seat-health pattern sounds familiar, the coaching page explains exactly how I work — or skip the reading and book the call.
